Sir Edward Burnes-Jones
Sir Edward Burnes-Jones lived
from 1871 to 1890. He lived in England in the nineteenth century,
which was a time of growing technology. His art work shows many scenes
of history and legend. His images are often dreamlike and a bit sad.
He did four paintings (a series) called The Legend of Brair Rose.
He said that the series was meant to be a "beautiful ... dream of something
that never was, never will be."
