Activity for Keep Trying

You will make a mono print with a friend. (A mono print is a single print of an image created on another surface.)
You will need: butcher paper, finger paint, a clean desk top, an apron, plenty of damp paper towels.

Getting started: You and your partner will take turns.
1. Decide who will print first. Cover your desk with a light coat of the paint using one hand. Make a design using your fingers, fist, arm, and fingernails.
2. Ask your partner to lay a sheet of butcher paper, shiny side down, over the paint and gently press it all over.
3. While your partner is pressing the paper you clean off your hands and arms with a damp cloth.
4. Together with your partner gently peel the paper off the desk and set it aside to dry.
5. Trade jobs with your partner.

Show it off: Ask your teacher to display your work somewhere in the building.
