By the end of her grammar school career, Stormy was one of the best players to have played girl's basketball in the public league.  Besides her love of the game Stormy was a dedicated learner of basic basketball skills.  She was outstanding at ball handling, passing, shooting and rebounding.  Because of these talents she will never be forgotten at our school.
During my coaching career I had the chance to coach a young woman I will never forget.  Her name was Stormy and she was a joy to coach because of her love and dedication to learning how to play basketball.   Her ability to pass, shoot, rebound and control the ball enabled her to be a great player.  Her abilities were evident from the first day we met.
From her very first day in practive, Stormy showed that she was determined to learn how to play basketball.  She worked extremely hard during basketball drills.  For example, Stormy would work harder than her teammates during the drill to improve rebounding. Even though she was the smallest person on the team, she would always get the most rebounds in the game. Other players would make excuses to not practice, but not Stormy.  She would be the first player at practice and the last one to leave.  Stormy's basketball skills grew to be outstanding because of her discipline and dedication during practice.

Some questions to think about.
What made Stormy so successful?
What was she able to do best when she played basketball?
Why will the coach never forget Stormy?
