Directions for a Mobile
My State Mobile
What you'll need:
- poster board
- index cards
- a coat hanger
- glue or tape
- string, yarn, or ribbon
- crayons or markers
- scissors
- information about your state
Try this:
- Draw and color the outline of your state on the poster board. Label major cities, bodies of water and places to visit. Be sure it is the right size for your hanger!!!
- Cut out the state and glue or tape it to the top of the coat hanger.
- Write some interesting information on each of the index cards and draw a picture or attach a photo to the other side of the card.
- Glue, tape, or tie the string, yarn, or ribbon to each index card and tie the other end to the coat hanger.
- Tie string to the top of the coat hanger and use this to hang the mobile in the classroom.
