Woodlawn Community

One day, we got to take a picture walk around our neighborhood. By the way, we live in the Woodlawn community. Now, we had never done this before, so we were very excited. It is on the South Side of Chicago. We have learned that there are a lot of good things around us. Here are a few pictures of what we saw.

This is the bank that some of our parents use. It is called Cole Taylor Bank.

We also have lots of stores by our school. There is a restaurant, beauty supply store and a sporting good store.

This is one of the nice people who work in our neighborhood. He is our neighborhood postman.

Here we are with one of our room parents and a store owner. He owns City Sports. This is where we can buy all the latest gym shoes. We love gym shoes, even though we can’t wear them to school a whole lot.
