Students should choose five characters from the book.  Answer the questions for each of them.

1.  Who is the character?

2.  What did the character do?

3.  Why did s/he do it?

4.  Why is the character's name well chosen?

5.  What is the nature of this character's action?

6.  What is important about this character?

7.  What is different about this character?

8.  How does the character change the story?

9.  Do you know anyone similar to this character?

10. Compare yourself to the character.
