Materials:
  journal
  assorted writing & drawing materials
   (pencils, markers, crayons, colored pencils)
  calendar

Directions:
  Children will begin by writing the date at the top of the
  1st page of their journal. They will be instructed that they
  should use only 1 page per day.
  Children will draw a picture depicting the appearance of
  their plant. Using kindergarten appropriate writing
  and or dictation, children will describe their plant.
