 1. Please Don't Die
Written by- Laurlene McDaniel
Category-Drama/Comedy
Description- A group of teenage girl friends are all gathered together by the One Wish Foundation to help kids who are like themselves.  When a crisis occurs, and one of the girls is not able to continue on, the girls do everything in their power to help continue their mission.
I personally like this book because it shows you how some people who aren't exactly healthy live their lives. I helped me to appreciate life for what it is and to realize that things could be worse.

2.Wonder
Written by-Rachel Vail
Category-Comedy
Description- When Jessica goes back to school she is a total outcast. Even her old best friend, Sheila, won't talk to her because she had become part of a new clique.
I think this is a good book because it shows some of the realistic times of junior high.  It also shows how one girl was able to overcome it.

Hobbies

On days when I have nothing to do, I  like to go swimming with my sisters, go wall/rock climbing, or go rollerblading by the beach. I like to wall-climb because of the thrill and excitement of climbing high, and when you're done, knowing that you've accomplished something cool. I love swimming too because it is like being free under water, and it's also very refreshing on a hot summer day. I also love rollerblading because it is so much fun! Not only do you get to exercise, but you  also get to entertain yourself.

World War I Reflection

John Singer Sargent, A Street in Arras,
         1918, watercolour, 39 x 52 cm, Imperial
         War Museum, London.

In this painting John Sargent is trying to show how an ordinary town can be corrupted by the chaos of war. Not only did this war affect the people involved, but also the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire. The message of this painting is that war affects everyone although it may not be intentional.  There are never winners in war!
