Reading
Reading lets me use my imagination to make the story come alive. Some books help me to figure out problems I might have, or they may let me see that my way of seeing things isn’t always the right and only way.  Mystery and horror stories are my favorites because I like the sense of suspense that they give me.  Reading gives me the chance to forget about everything else that is happening in the world and enter into a new world of imagination.

Swimming
Swimming gives me time to relax and cool down on a hot summer day.  When I’m swimming I get a chance to be by myself.  When I’m not swimming alone, I’m slashing and messing around with my brothers and sister.   After I’m done swimming I like to lay down on my towel and let the sun dry me off.

Baseball
I love to play baseball. This sport gives me a chance to compete with others.  Even though I like to play baseball I’m not a big fan of just watching a game. When you’re not playing, baseball can become a very long and boring sport. It is playing the game that makes it suspenseful and entertaining.

My Favorite Books

A Wrinkle in Time
By: Madeleine L'Engle

This was a great novel that kept me hooked until the last page.  This novel is about two young children who are searching for their lost father who for all they know could be in another universe.  Your imagination will run wild with this novel, and the suspense just keeps getting stronger with every page you turn.  I guarantee that when you finish, you will put the book down with a smile on your face.

Pet Semetary
By: Stephen King

If you like scary stories, this one will surely give you nightmares.  This novel is about a family who moves into a house with a cemetery in their back yard.  But this is no normal cemetery; it is one filled with evil and a different kinds of temptation than you’ve ever known.  This great novel will have you so scared you won’t want to finish the book, but so curious that you’ll have no choice but to.

Searching for David’s Heart
By: Cherie Bennett

If you want to shed a few tears, this sad book is great for you.  It is about a young girl who witnesses her brother’s death and insists on finding the person to whom his heart was donated because she feels that if she finds his heart, she will find him.  This is a great novel that you will enjoy reading all the way to the end.

Entertainment

I love music. Whenever I’m doing homework, riding in the car, or just hanging around, I always listen to music.  I usually listen to the radio, but if nothing good is on, or if there are a lot of commercials, I listen to my CD’s.  I listen to Rap, R&B, and Hip-Hop.  I really don’t have a favorite singer; I just listen to everyone while I sing and dance to his or her music.
If I’m bored, I’m always up for going to the movie theater to watch a good movie.  I watch all kinds of movies.  If the previews look good and interesting, I’ll go see it.  My favorite movies are comedies and suspense, but my absolute favorite movies are the scary ones.  I love the suspense as the main character is walking down the hall with the eerie music in the background and the watcher not knowing when and where the bad guy will pop out.  I’ve seen many scary movies, but I’m still waiting for that one that is so scary that I won’t be able to sleep for days.
