Hobbies

Dance

I love to dance. Whenever I get the chance, I work on my moves. I dance in a Puerto Rican dance group.  I’ve been doing this since I was about 5 years old. This especially helps me when I’m in a bad mood or mad because I forget about everything and just have fun.

Making Jewelry

I also enjoy making beaded jewelry. I like to try difficult patterns, even if they don’t end up as I planned they would. Sometimes, if I like what I make, I’ll give my creations away to friends. I like to see them wear my jewelry because I know I made it.

Drawing

Another thing I enjoy doing is drawing. The most common thing I do is find paintings I really like and try to draw them to the best of my ability. Sometimes I just draw bodies and design clothes on them. This is relaxing because I am able to step into another world, and it broadens my outlook on life.

The Only Alien on the Planet
By: Kristen D. Randle
Once I started to read this novel, it was impossible to put it down.  This is the story of Smitty, a teenager who stops speaking after almost drowning at the age of two.  The story  is narrated by Ginny, who feels a special bond between them.  Though he won’t talk to her, Ginny is still friends with Smitty, hoping that one day he will talk. That day may be sooner than she thinks, thanks to her.

Noticing Paradise

This is a great story that is told from the viewpoints of Cat, a simple girl that likes photography and Noah, a boy forced to go on a cruise with his older brother. Cat and Noah meet on a cruise ship and find that they are the only teenagers there.  They develop a great relationship and try to solve the mystery of a man named Diego and the famous tortoises.  Together they find out the truth of the tortoises and begin a little romance.
