The Text Format Tool Bar buttons enable you to work with font style and text placement. These functions can also be accessed from the drop down Format Menu located on the Menu Bar at the top.

The Text Format Tool Bar has 12 basic functions.
The PC tool bar has one extra minor function (1a.).

There are many specifics yet to learn, but for now, take some time to explore the Composer tool bars.

From Netscape Navigator, open the Communicator drop down menu located on the Menu Bar at the top and click on Composer.

Type some text in the work space and play with the menus and the buttons. Don't be afraid to experiment.  When you are ready, come back and begin Step 4: Creating Your Page.

11. Increase Indent
Indents text somewhat like a tab,  but it moves text in from both the left and the right.
#11 must be used when you want to Tab.
In Composer, the Tab key DOES NOT WORK as a normal Tab!

12. Text Alignment
Operates the same as a word processing program; aligns text at the left margin, the center, or the
       right margin.
Caution: centering text is popular, but centering a lot of text is hard on the eyes.
