Students will transfer knowledge of line
and shape to create a string artform.
RATIONALE:
This lesson
will allow students of all levels to achieve success due to the use
of familiar
tools. It will motivate
the students to use their imaginations and increase their problem
solving
skills. This
project will increase an awareness of positive and negative
space, line and
color.
GOALS:
By creating an original
String Art Design using familiar art materials all students should
be able to:
Express themselves creatively. Properly use and identify shape as an element
of
art. Use color as a positive shape. Transfer art experiences from one media
to
another. Develop an appreciation of artistic contributions of others.
AUDIENCE: Grade Levels: 4-8th regular and special ed.
