Introduction
It was mandated that Dyett Middle School become a high school in 1999.
The plan was to expand the high school program by adding one grade each
year. Our first freshman class entered in August 1999, and will graduate
in the year 2003. This module is being made available to acquaint
the students, parents, and all constituents involved with the school and
the wonderful programs that are available.
Aim
To market the school. To provide information to perspective students,
parents, and the community at large.
Rationale
Dyett High School has been one of the best kept secrets in the educational
field. We started out as a very small school and now we have evolved
into a true high school and we would like for the community to know about
our little kept secret. We want to share with others how we grew
from a middle school to a high school with very little preparation time.
We are especially encouraging the freshmen students to take a look into
our program.
Goals and Objectives
Viewers of this module will be able to know about our mission statement,
school philosophy, and what to expect on Orientation Day. They will
also know about Advisory Schedules.

This lesson is designed for incoming freshmen and their parents.
