Activity Six
A TV Commercial
For those of you who would like to do this I will make a video camera available to you.
Work in groups up to four. One person should take the job of camera operator. You will be evaluated on the same rubric we have been using except that it will be your commercial that will be assessed.
Select a country that you have not yet studied and find one thing that you find unusual, interesting, exciting, etc. and create your commercial around it.
EXAMPLE: The country of Belgium is said to produce the world's finest chocolate. You could use that fact as the basis of your commercial.
You have total control of what you present. If you are doing a commercial about an African country you could dress in African clothing.
If you have any original pieces of art from a particular country you could use that for the commercial.
Add music to it if you wish. You might be able to find samples of music from the selected country on the web.
The possibilities are infinite.
The main ideas are to be accurate in your presentation and to have fun.
