The Whites refers to the army of counter-revolutionaries from Hungary,
known as the "White Terror." The term, "White Terror," can refer to the
actual group or it can be used as a verb, as in "the boy suffered from the White
Terror that spread across the land." In 1919, The Whites were led by Admiral
Horthy and quelled the incessant insurrection in Hungary that occurred after
World War I. The Whites were considered to be counter-revolutionary to
the Communist Revolution that was attempting to spread across Europe.
