Aim:
The purpose of this lesson is
to allow students to incorporate computers with higher order thinking mathematical
skills. Enhance learning in the classroom through the usage of technology.
Rationale:
When students incorporate computers,
a broader perspective of the modernized world around them will enable them
to function in a global society.
Goals/Objectives:
Students will be able to make
predictions, draw conclusions, collect
and record real data, describe
the results of a survey, and explore equally likely events and probability
with the use of computers.
Audience/
Prerequisites:
Middle Grade Students (6-8)
Identify key words and explain
their importance.
Work with a group to share ideas
and solve problems.
Use strategies that foster communication.

Description
of Subject
Matter:
-
After oral discussions on the purpose
of collecting data and where data is used in the " real " world,
students will perform several task on various subject matters, which include
collecting and organizing.
Materials:
Computers, internet access and
explorer, web browser, microsoft word, and graph paper.
