Plan:  Activity #1
  1. Teacher will review terms related to data analysis: chart, graph, outcome, probability, and tally.
  2. Orally discuss why collecting data is important and how it is incorporated in real life situations.
  3. For an example of how data analysis is used in the modern world, students can click  http://www.learner.org/exhibits/dailymath/
  4. Teacher will emphasize the importance of collecting accurate data.
  5. Teacher will divide students into two groups, where students will log onto the computer.
  6. Teacher will direct students to home page, in which they can find data recording sheet.
  7. Ask each student to provide personal data while all classmates record information.
  8. After collecting personal data from students, students will complete data recording sheet # 1 ( click here )   to complete sheet.
  9. Students will independently work on the lesson within their groups.
  10. After students have completed data recording sheet.

  11. After students complete activities, students should create a summary using microsoft word.
