home
AIM:
-
This site is to educate students to preserve the rain forest
for their plants that we use for medicine and all the animals that use
the rain forest as their habitat. We will also connect other biomes
and explore them to show how they play an important role in keeping the
earth's balance.
RATIONALE:
-
If you pose a question to a group of fourth or fifth graders,
on the importance of the rain forest. Most likely their opinion is that
it really doesn't matter, since it is not something that is in their environment.
Most often they do not know what kind of biome exists in their own environment.
This experience to travel to a different continent to explore a wonderful
biome created by nature. Will give them a different perspective on how
we need all of nature's creations to keep the world balanced. This
will give students the opportunity to use the internet and become more
